This year Riga got UrbanSketching movement and we want to celebrate it with first UrbanSketching Summer School in Riga. UrbanSketchers Riga organise it together with artist from Indonesia Rudy Murdock.
Everyone interested is more than welcome to participate, learn to sketch and support exchange of drawing practices from the other parts of the world. We hope this is a beginning of a beautiful tradition and we will organise second and third and… seventeenth (at least) UrbanSketching Summer School of Riga some day.
The legend behind the summer school is very simple and airy - as we want to continue. We had a conversation with Indonesian artist Rudi Murdock and he said that he would like to visit Riga some day. Some time later the idea of Summer School appeared and we saw how the dreams come true - Rudi can get to Riga and Riga can have the international plain air.
